This theater could be so incredible. I don't know if it's bad management or what. It has an amazing area for a nice restaurant. Used to have great food and serve beer all the time. Now it's always empty and hardly even have concessions open. Usually 2 or 3 people working max. But the theater itself is great and if you get the good area they have the most comfortable chairs of any theater I've ever been to. Would give 5 if it was up and running like it should be.
Apparently they are under new management now. Workers seemed so happy to do their jobs and were very nice unlike other times I have visited this theater. Also, the theater is very clean, spotless almost. The last time I came it wasn’t clean at all. I am hoping that this is going to be the start of a better management/cleaner theater.
If food was a little more affordable then we might go more often. We are a family of 5 and it can get pretty expensive. We eat before we go. Popcorn and drinks here cost us more than all of us eating at nice restaurant with actual food. Lines at concession stand were long. Staff seemed friendly but uninterested. The atmosphere was just plain dull. Bathrooms were clean. Seating was comfortable and roomy. Way better than Hollywood 16 but that's not saying much. Humboldt's Plaza Theater is the best in the local area.
Best movie theater in town. Comfy seats, screen has a great picture, and the armrests move up on all seats.
For the wanna be big town of Jackson, TN this is a quite out of town location for a movie theatre. That is the only good thing I have to say. Uninvolved staff, the 3 that were there on a Sat. Night. Trash everywhere, nasty seats and nasty, overly expensive food. I will never go there again. I will drive to memphis.
