A little difficult to find....hotel staff were very kind and accommodating. I appreciated that they had luggage carts to help with luggage. The hotel purports to be new...actually advertised as the newest in Jackson....but it didn't come across as new to me.....it doesn't have the cool new platform beds that most MOTEL6's are using now (which are great---especially if you travel with pets ....pets can't hide under the bed or in the boxspring with those new platform beds). The room was fine (though the heater did stop working overnight)....but the infrastructure of the hotel needs a re-do....it comes across as very "beat-up".......the staff were using outdated vacuums to do their cleaning work----the kind of vacumms that generate more dust than they pick up....it's unfair to ask staff members to do a good job when they aren't provided with good working equipment/tools.......it could be a nice place for the money if management were to upgrade a bit, do some handyman work, and give the place a fresh "new" look.
The room was great as well as the lady, Ms. Candy, at the desk! I would sugest making the entry to the hotel a little better outside and inside.
Good location right next to highway, plenty of options for food or gas, and the rooms are spacious but recently updated. Overall, Ive had a nice stay with motel 6.
By far the worst experience we've ever had. Smoke filled the hall from people smoking in their rooms. Walls and floors were filthy and sticky. The bathroom floor and shower had not been cleaned. As if it couldn't get worse, we woke up to the water not working. So the toilet didn't flush and we couldn't take showers. When we spoke to the front desk about the water, he said it was shut down all over town, but that was not the case.
Usually your facilities are fairly new and in good shape maintenance-wise, but this location was a bit run-down. It did appear that improvements were on-going,but much overdue. The two table lamps in my 1st room did not work. One did not turn on and the second had faulty wiring. Since there weren't any replacement lamps available I was moved. The door frame was terribly sticky in the second room and at one point after shoving the door to lock the deadbolt I couldn't unlock it. All of my other stays have been more than satisfactory. I wouldn't stay at Jackson,TN again if I have an option.
Take up some of the concrete on either side of the awning and add some greenery to make it look more inviting maybe? Also maybe add a false wall to improve the aesthetic of the lobby a little.
