EDIT: Went back to them about the computer still being busted. Fixed the visible parts that they messed up and removed rattle (there was still a rattle when I got home, btw) for free. This time the encounter was slightly patronizing. Included being told to smile, inquiring and judging my confidence, asking if I would pay back my family member, and being asked if I "wanted to check the laptop over or do you trust me." Was told I needed a new charger to fix the problem. Bought charger from them. Got home- problem still occurred. Decided not to bother paying them a ton of money again for more mediocre work and false diagnosises and just got a new laptop instead. Not from them, though.
Honest people and fixes computers fast!
I have a laptop that was running slow. I took it to a big box store here in Jackson and they told me I needed a new computer. I took it here and they fixed it and now it runs like it is brand new. All in three days.

Fairly nice employees. Went in for basic, tiny repair. Was told 2-3 business days. Ended up waiting entire 2 weeks instead. Finally got computer back; problem was not only not fixed, but computer came back with damages. Computer now rattles when turned, the panel is warped, there are odd bumps in the frame, two cracked areas in frame, off center power jack, a dent, and I could see cords through a hole because the top and bottom half of the computer were not pushed together well enough. Probably because of one of the cracks they put in the side. Very nice employees. But computer came out worse than when it was sent in.
After almost two weeks of rude back and forth between most of the employees, they were unable to fix my PC. They made me feel like a burden more than a valued customer. The girl that works here was nice but that was the only redeeming quality of the whole shop.
I'm glad I found Micro Computer Center and they will be getting all my repairs now.

On another occasion: went in because computer would shut off randomly, not due to over heating. Computer stayed for a few days, came back "fixed." Was not fixed, problem still occurred. Not once did they consider the broken hinges/wires sticking out to be a problem. Went to different repair place a town over. Repaired hinges and screen. Problem then stopped.
