I have been alive in the world for 59 years, I have never seen anything so bad as a business, I am having bi lateral hip replacement surgery on December the 21 St, and I was trying to take care of my sister ,s business since she was in the hospital, so to start out I couldn't get anyone to talk to me on the phone, so we go there in person at Jackson TN, we try to pay her bill and they tell me because it is a few days late, we have to bring her equipment back and pay for having it reinstalled, basically they tell me and my wife they could care less that my sister is in the hospital, and she is bad person because she is sick and is late on the bill, even though she has been a long time customer and is never late, I can barely get around and I am not physically able to be unhooking equipment, I have heard of people that would push baby ducks in a pond that can't swim yet, but I am convinced they will hold their head under to they drown, I really thought I was talking to a real life Scrooge,I was there on December the 18 , 2017 at 1035.
As of right now there has been 3 internet outages within ONE WEEK! These outages last anywhere from about 8 hours to a few days. The cable service is also terrible. I bought a 4K tv to enjoy crisp and vibrant video quality and while I can get that streaming Netflix I can literally count the pixels on my charter box. Please consider other options for internet and cable service. This service is too unreliable and inconsistent, they also do not credit for the outage times. Waste of hard earned money.
As a person who works from home in Finance having to schedule and attend meetings via conference calls and video chats, Charter Communications is an unreliable service provider. Their random outages makes my job difficult, costs me down time during my work schedule which puts me behind with my daily responsibilities. I am in need of a better provider before I seriously lose my job! I had to take PTO last week due to their outage and today I'm missing a crucial department meeting with the CFO due to yet another random outage! It's so beyond frustrating!
Our experience has been so bad I wish there were a way to give just 1/4 star. We have modem problems that were diagnosed on the phone and it was suggested to go to the office in Jackson. We took our modem to Jackson, an hour each way, and they were out but said they would order one and have it mailed to us within two weeks. After two weeks we called Charter and they didn't see an order so placed another order and said it would be two weeks. After ANOTHER two weeks we called again and was on hold forever while they checked the tracking. We were told both orders were cancelled but they'ed have to wait a full 30 days after the most recent order to place it again. So after ONE FULL MONTH we are no closer and don't really want to drive two hours again. We've been customers for almost 29 years, not sure that will continue.
A very poor service for the price. Two things are guarnteed with Charter, and that's outages and price increases.
