Just know that when you deal with this company, you are automatically downgraded as a human immediately, also, you are signing a contract with blood when you sign up for services with these people. Customer service Reps are complete A holes, and Matt, the customer service supervisor, thinks he is God. There is nothing you can do about it either, JEA has the monopoly, only thing you can do is, bend over and take it. Yet another reason that Jackson, TN is one of the worst cities in America to live in. I'm still waiting on the answer to who owns JEA. You people suck, if you are short $2.00 on your bill, they will turn you off, if you tell them you will be in after work to pay your bill, they don't care, we won't stop the truck, well I hope the truck don't stop , and it hits you right in the ass end. Greedy bastards.
Real rip off can't get my daughters bill straight and when she calls they want to get Smart as if it's her fault... will send a bill saying the account is in the positive only to send a disconnect letter 2 weeks later... just a horrid experience with these people....
I recently had a sewage issue on a Sunday. A crew was there immediately and worked until dark in the rain, digging out my yard and replacing the pipe. The crew was SO nice, courteous, they did not leave a mess, and followed up with me every step of the way. Today I had to call and give a follow up, and the ladies who answer the phones are always so polite, too. Customer service goes a LONG way.
Some associates are polite and others look down their noses at you. We only use gas for our heat, we do not mess with the thermostat it stays the same.. but yet our bill almost tripled this month.. makes no sense!
As far as other services, I've had a few hiccups with the online payment system (which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars), but anytime I call to resolve the payment issue, the people I've dealt with are very helpful. I only have power, sewer and internet and my bill seems reasonable. Cable is overpriced everywhere, so I opted out of it. I really enjoy having JEA as my provider - but if you've ever had to deal with Comcast, anything is better! :)
JEA has always been good to work with for my wife and I. We can pay our bill online, and they usually come out the same day if we have trouble with anything. I checked my internet speed one day and realized I wasn't getting the bandwidth I was paying for, called about it, and a guy came out to check it out and upgraded the hardware outside my apartment building in order to allow for the bandwidth demands. Quick, helpful service, painless, and I rarely have to wait very long to get help on the phone.
